Overview
Joseph and Helen equip Christians for cross-cultural mission through their work at Eastwest College of Intercultural Studies in Gordonton, Hamilton.
What our week looks like
Joseph and Helen primarily serve students from New Zealand and around the world who are preparing for cross-cultural mission through one- and two-year diploma programmes at Eastwest College.
Their week includes a combination of academic teaching and personal discipleship. This involves delivering lectures, mentoring students through care groups, providing pastoral support, and leading students in weekly local ministry within the Hamilton community.
Their role supports local churches by helping prepare future mission workers with both biblical grounding and practical experience. By bridging the gap between a heart for mission and readiness for the field, they equip students to serve with resilience, understanding, and faith.
Joseph and Helen’s own journey reflects this calling. After 30 years of ministry in Egypt, where they were involved in evangelism, discipleship, and training, they have now transitioned into equipping and sending the next generation of cross-cultural workers through their role at Eastwest College.
