Overview
Elijah and Olivia are currently training at North Cotes College in the UK, preparing for future cross-cultural mission with Ethnos360. Their first year focuses on biblical studies before they begin cross-cultural communications training next year.
The Need
Reaching isolated people groups with the Gospel requires careful preparation, a strong biblical foundation, and the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
For Elijah and Olivia, their time at North Cotes College is an important stage in preparing for future ministry. It is equipping them with the biblical knowledge, practical skills, and cross-cultural understanding they will need as they work towards serving communities with limited access to the Gospel.
What They’re Doing
Having recently arrived in the UK, Elijah and Olivia are settling into life at North Cotes College and establishing a new routine as a family.
Their weekday programme includes Bible classes, practical training, prayer and chapel sessions. Current studies include the Pentateuch, Bible Study Methods, Bibliology, and Foundational Bible Teaching, with further modules being introduced as they progress through the programme.
Alongside formal study, they are taking part in fellowship groups where students can build relationships and grow together in God’s Word. They are also looking for a local church where they can serve and hope, as circumstances allow, to become involved in local Gospel outreach.
This period of training is laying a foundation for their longer-term goal of serving among isolated people groups through Ethnos360.
The Impact
While Elijah and Olivia are still in the preparation stage of their mission journey, this season is helping equip them for sustainable, long-term cross-cultural ministry. Through biblical study, practical training, community life and future cross-cultural studies, they are developing the foundations needed to serve well in the years ahead.
